SMA staydown

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if its any good? Also, is looks pretty complicated to prepare, having to chill it and then bring it back to room temperature to give to lo, and youre not meant to warm it up. How do you organise yourself????

Many thanks x

Its fantastic! I swear by it, still do at 8 months. Its not that bad to prepare once you get used to it. I make all my bottles in the morning with the water and pop in the fridge once cooled when I need one take it out add the powder I use a weaning spoon to stir it as your not meant to shake it then I pop in the microwave for a second but you can stand it in water. Xx

It's amazing. Much easier than it sounds, just make the water up in bottles and bung in the fridge!

When u need it, pop the powder in, roll the bottle (not shake) and warm a little if needed!

All i can say is its AMAZING. has been a lifesaver for me and LO, dont know what we would have done without it.

Its pretty easy to make once you get used to it. I used cooled boiled water (not refridgerated) and stirred with a weaning spoon as you cant shake it. It also says dont warm it but i always warmed it a little and it was fine.

The doctors were rubbish for my LO aswell so i went out and bought the staydown then asked for it on prescription.

Hope it works for your LO

We still love this, after 7 months!

I fill up the bottles and store in the fridge. Take one out when needed and put in the powder. Roll it in my hands, and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds. (I always test the temperature before giving to LO).

We get it on prescription, and I think making it up sounds harder than it actually is - you soon get into a rhythm.

Yep im with everyone else. It's fab made such a difference to my lo. I make up bottles with cooled boiled water in morning an pop them into the fridge. I take out as needed add powder, ROLL them an bung in microwave. Done it this way for three months with no problems.

Awww I could cry just knowing that there's something that might help him. He's screamed at me all morning, he just keeps gagging on it and I can see it's burning his throat by the look on his face, he looks in agony. Just because it's silent reflux and he's not being really sick, the docs won't take me seriously. The thing is he's on colief because I thought it was colic at first but now it's obvious that it's silent reflux. I've got to wean him off colief first....eek! Also I use dr brown bottles, what size teat should I use.....I've got some 3's in the cupboard, would they be ok?! X

Personally I found it a complete nightmare, made no difference to LO's reflux and constantly clogged the teats of my bottles.
