Do you ever feel invisible when your pushing your pram?!

Just got back from getting dd1 from school, and no one would let me past on the path in the school to get to her class to collect her. Not one! Everyone had got their kids and were pushing their way out.
One woman noticed, and told me to ram them out of the way

Poor dd1 was the last in her class by the time I got there!

I feel people can be so rude when you have a pram Not just at school, but generally speaking

Anyone else feel invisible?
xx

YES!

I am going to get a bumper sticker for the pram that says "If you can read this.. I must not be invisible" lol

I had problems walking through the school run the other day, parents walking along chatting to other parents and taking up the whole path, kids skipping from side to side and ramming into pram (I know they're just kids but in my day mums would say "mind the lady"!). I had to come to a complete standstill 8 times for fear of the pram being knocked into the road because mums walking towards me were paying no attention. And of all people they should know better!

I get dirty looks too if people have to wait for me to get through a doorway, or if they have to step slightly to the side to pass me on the pavement - usually I swerve the pram out of their way even though its harder for me to move than them, and still end up getting dirty looks! I've no idea why! An old woman muttered something about young mums one day which was actually funny as I'm closer to 40 than 30, I'm not exactly a gymslip mum lol!

^^ That sounds like a compliment then

It does really wind me up when you appear to be invisible...I just get 'pram rage' now *bang* "Oh sorry I didn't see you there"

I've had the total opposite experience! People are being really nice to me, people go out of there way to open doors for me, and cars stop to let me cross the road.

Sorry you've had such a bad experience.

I dont know i think ppl with pushchairs can be just as bad walking side by side and not letting you past, i think its just people in general but you notice it more when you have a pushchair because you cant just squeeze past them or walk on the road to get past etc.

Some people with pushchairs do seem to think they have right of way though and ram you which is just as bad imo!

All the time! Doesn't usually bother me though as I can be very patient when needs be

It's annoying in supermarkets though as people who are not watching where their trollies are going often crash into me! Or they leave them across the aisle so I can't get past, in those instances I do use my pram as a battering ram
