Dear World...

Look at me... You may totally disaprove of the way of the way I dress. Ohmigosh...my hair is purple!
Le Gasp...I have piercings in my nose & lip & tongue.
Shock Horror...I'm wearing a short sleeved t-shirt & you can see my tattoos on my arm.
Stop The Press... I'm wearing black clothes.

You can look at me with that look til the cows come home, I couldn't give a damn...

But don't you DARE look at my son like that. He is perfect & brilliant & my pride & joy & the way I look has absolutly no baring on the way I parent.

He is clean, well fed, appropriatly dressed for the weather, safe in his pram & most importantly, loved to within an inch of his life. If you want to be petty about it..he is even dressed in little boy clothes, instead of mini versions of my clothes.

He is not mistreated,
He is not a devil child

He is a baby! & the next person to look at him in disgust is going to know about it!!

FFS!! Very well said!!

Might I add, when I was a nanny back in my single days, I often went out to the grocery store with two young children in tow that actually slightly resembled me in the same colour hair & eyes. Had lots of older ladies tut at me with no ring on my finger. I got tired of explaining that they weren't mine and just glared back at them! Nosy old biddies!!

Well done, hun. I'm a Goth, so I can relate. People look at me like I have two heads. It was terrible when I was pregnant.

That is so strange! Because tattoos and piercings reflect parenting....... Lol, yeah right!

I am sure I get my share of looks but I guess I am oblivious. I am young and have an unusual piercing, short bright red hair. Whatever!

P.S. If it makes you feel any better, I see parents like you with little kids and think, "Gosh, he's lucky to have such cool parents!"
