Appropriate Age for Play Groups?

just wanted to get your Opinions on the subject listed above

How soon is too soon?

Do you take your lo's to playgroups?

How old where they when you decided to venture out?

How many times a week or month does the group meet?

If you don't currently participate in a group will you? (why or why not)

At the playgroup we go to its a bumps & babes group, so pregnant women go, and we have a lot of newborns come. We didnt start til K was 4 months but its good for her to interact with babies her own age, but also see toddlers playing too x

I first went out when DS was about 6 weeks old. He slept for the duration but it was useful to meet up with other mums.

My local surestart is fab and the baby group is lovely. I also go to bounce and rhyme at the library with both my children, and a toddler group more so for my older child but it's for children 0-5.

Some people don't see the point in going to baby groups with a very small baby, but in the early days I think it's essential for you to get out and meet others if like myself you don';t have many friends with children.

When they are infants then the playgroups are for the mums really. Babies don't really notice lol. I found that playgroups start to be really fun for the LOs once they start to get mobile and explore.
