Need some room decorating ideas for my baby's room please...

I am going to move my daughter from her tiny bedroom to a larger one down the hall. The room's walls are painted a caramel color, and I'd rather not put in the work to paint the whole room in another color.

Any ideas how to make a caramel colored room into a youthful girly one? Do you think even if I decorated the room in pink stuff, the walls would be too blah (...ok there are less caramel and more cat barf colored)

Is it dark caramel or a pale colour? You could try wall stickers or a border? Girlie curtains, rugs, pictures. It depends on the shade of the caramel I would say (and the pink!). If it's light, you could do some stencilling like the alphabet or numbers or animals. Maybe have a theme like fairies or princesses. If it's a dark caramel (like a brown) you could have a woodland theme with toadstools, trees, butterflies, fairies. Hope that helps to start you off

It's kinda like the color of a cork in a bottle of wine.

Thanks! I am thinking of sticking with something shabby chic looking. I love that style. I just hate the room color to start with.

If you really hate it, it might be worth changing it now as it might save you work in the long run if you have to start again. Although, I'm sure you can brighten it up with some nice fabrics and girly things. Shabby chic would work with that colour as a base. Just pick your other colours and don't stray too much from them so it doesn't look too messy. Pink and green or pink and blue would be nice (match the shades up) or even pink and cream or white.
