Confused and feeling bad :(

Morning ladies,

Ally's sleep Patterns have been all over the shop since ww19 and through ww26. The lack of sleep has impacted everyone, really! Especially her

We've also noticed that she wakes at *exactly* the same time every night for feeds...normally 11:50 ish and 3:00 ish recently Sometimes she has a big feed, other times not at all...sometimes she wakes more than twice.

Problem was, she'd completely stopped resettling after these night feeds...so we decided to do SleepSense. Cue lots of shhhh, sleepytime, hand holding, head stroking. She was crying, but her tired 'I need to sleep' cry...rather than her 'im scared' wail.

Last night she settled after a bit of grousing (11:50 feed) We left her to grouse, as us intervening was making her furious and shouting. She then didn't wake until 6:30 (her normal time for brekkie feed), so she skipped an entire feed. I am now freaking out that she just thought I wouldn't go to her? We did Ss with L, and it worked fine...and she always woke when hungry, anything from not at all, to seven times...I am just doubting myself big style this time! DH thinks that feed was just habit, as she only had such a small amount then and at brekkie...and this am she had a loooong brek feed.

Do you think she thought I wouldn't feed her? Help me! Was it just habit?

She's on great form this morning...laughing, giggling, snuggling...great am feed.

Thanks, TG

No, no and no! Chick, you're too hard on yourself. Ally knows you're always there for her so she definitely doesn't think she's not going to be attended to if she cries! Your OH is right, that feed was probably habit and she realises she doesn't need it now. I have done sleep training with Lizzie too....she has been waking anytime between 3 and 5am for a feed, I have ALWYAYS fed her then. The last two days she hasn't woke for this feed, her own choice with no force on my part at all. I've woken at 6am and fed her anyway without her asking

So, do not think you've done anything wrong!!! xx

Bless you. She probably just didn't need that feed.
I'm sure babies don't learn that fast that there's no point crying as you won't come to them!
Parenting brings so much guilt but I'm 100% sure you are beating yourself up about nothing.
Big hugs x
