Can't handle colic anymore

Please someone tell me it'll pass soon . Nothing soothes him and he can scream for hours and hours. And hours. I actually feel like I'm losing my marbles tonight . I feel like crying too now as the screaming has been going on for 3 hours without a break now and nothing works to stop it. Every single day since he was 5 weeks old. He's 14 weeks now. I can't wait for my husband to get in from work to take him for a while. I don't know how Daisy is managing to sleep through it. I just needed to get that out .

Just sending you a hug, you're not alone!

Can you pop him on a changing mat and give yourself a 2 minute break? I've done that in the past and popped my head under a pillow just to get a moment to recollect my thoughts!

It WILL pass hun... although that doesn't make it any easier rigtht now.

I will suggest maybe trying something that a friend of mine tried and had good luck with. She took her LO to the chiropractor- I know it may seem odd, but my chiropractor suggested it to me for her as he said that sometimes due to the trauma of birth- LO's can get relief from chirpractor care. My friend did this in conjunction with probiotics and her LO went from screaming nightly for 4hrs to just overall fussyness- but no more long screaming fits and he's much happier and sleeps better. He's still a "fussy" baby- but it's gotten so much better.

Might be worth a shot hun! There's no guarantee of course... but if it can't hurt, then why not try??? Just my two cents.

Hope things turn around soon!!!! Best of luck!!!

It is so hard but it will get easier!

This might sound stupid but what time does he scream from and does he have a specific bedtime/ what's his bedtime routine?

My LO would scream from 8pm until 11/12pm. We started putting him to bed at 7pm when he was 8 weeks old and we didn't have hardly any problems after that. For our LO it was colic and being extremely over tired!

Obviously might not help with your LO but just a thought

Colief!! Believe me I went through this terribly for about 8 weeks and never thought it would end, I tried infacol, gripe water, Dr Brown bottles, baby massage even cranial osteopathy and nothing worked. Got Colief and from the very first bottle he hasnt cried like it since! It's pricey £13 q bottle which lasts a week or so but if you try it and it works tell your GP and you may be able to get it on prescription like me. It's really worth a try, it doesn't work for all babies but def try! xx

I too have heard wonderful things about Colief - Lady in my postnatal group thingy said it worked wonders!

Perhaps try LO in a sling? My LO had a wee bit of colic and pretty bad reflux and having him in a sling worked pretty well
