Yeah I was quite overweight so it has been a blessing, no didn't try to loose weight just didn't have an appetite during pregnancy, but boy do I have one now since I'm breastfeeding!

I tend to have treats at the weekend like a take away, proper breakfast like saud n egg on toast etc - Sunday lunch.

I just think with all the up n down activities like changing Nappies, walking to mummy groups etc makes me very active compared to my job so I've lost weight...
Thanks mummyruston. It's very enlightening to see that I am probably eating one and a half times what mummyruston eats everyday and am 2 kilos over my pre-pregnancy weight. I think I need to replace some of my high calorie treats for more veggies (I hate fruits unfortunately).

Could some of you other mummies who are lighter than their pre-pregnancy weight please post what you eat on a typical day? It would really help the rest of us. Thanks in advance

I was 11st 6lbs when I got pregnant (before getting pregnant at the heaviest I was about 12st 3lbs) and I lost a stone and a half in the first month due to horrific sickness, I didn't get back up to pre-preg weight until about 30-32 weeks, and I think I was about 12 - 12.5 stone when I had her. Within a week I was 10st 6lbs, and I've been fluctuating between 9st 6lbs and 9st 10lbs since about November.

I call it the "I don't have time to eat" diet!

Typical day for me:
Breakfast - Porridge
Lunch - Sandwich (wholemeal bread) and homemade soup - if I don't get chance to make my own we'll have supermarket fresh soup from a carton
Pudding - Pear or apple
Snack - Fruit scone or toasted teacake
Dinner - Chicken stir fry and noodles/Chicken enchilada and rice/Saus & mash with veg/Spag bol/Chilli and rice etc
Pudding - Ice cream or yoghurt or small pot of tiramisu from supermarket

That's weekdays. On saturday night we'll often have a takeaway (Chinese or Pizza Express) on Sunday it's roast dinner all the way

I used to eat a bowl of cereal after putting little man down at 10.30ish but have kicked this now as I prefer the extra time asleep

Wow! So you weren't trying to lost weight during your pregnancy? If you dont mind me asking, were you overweight to begin with? x

Nope not while pregnant!
I was overweight yes. I was 12lb 2ozafter Easter, just before I got pregnant and was a size 16-18 (I'm only 4ft 11").
I'm now a size 12
Had to go to town early on with a pair of drawstring joggers on to be able to buy more clothes as everything was hanging off me!

I've put 4lb back on but have just had a period so that may be why. although I've been SO hungry and I'm not sure if it's cos I'm breastfeeding or because after 9 months of being so poorly and being squashed by lil one I could eat again lol!

Need to start being good. I'd love to get down to 9 stone by my 30th in July
