Thanks for all your comments apart from the one about it being illiegal....for gods sake!
And yes it is teething both of the top teeth are coming through together! I can see a tiny grain of sand at the top and the other side is lumpy so nearly coming through, i think i know what is wrong with my baby -_-

Hey hun my lo is teething too I thought it was just that but the inconsolable crying isn't normal turned out he had a little inflamed gland in his throat which the nurse missed. But u can use calpol and nurofen together and ambesol is fab

Could be something else wrong at the same time as teething so even though you know its teething, doesn't mean there isn't something else the matter too. If normal teething remedies don't help I'd take him to the doc rather than use whiskey. My brother used whiskey on his kid and I saw how he turned out

I second Dino Daisy! I think we've given lo Calpol maybe once since I got it and before that, I was giving it to him 3 or 4 nights a week before bed! And my friend said she'd gone from giving her daughter Calpol everyday to none at all!! Within the space of 24 hrs.

Sorry didn't look how old your LO is but cold grapes work great here! It might just be a distraction or something but the cold soothes her gums xx

Sometimes we think we know what's wrong and it's not always the case, people are just trying to help. I've thought my lo was teething before which he clearly was but when I went to check his temp he screamed out in pain when the thermometer went in his ear - it turned out to be an ear infection as well. xx

It was a serious question?

I don't know why you're being defensive, we're just trying to help.
