Breastfeeding question

My LO used to take a full half an hour per feed when she was about 1-3 weeks then she decreased to 15 minutes per feed and now she is only taking 10 minutes per feed, will she be getting enough and why would she be decreasing her time?

Yes, she'll be getting enough - you could always offer her the other boob if you think she's still hungry. They get quicker as they get more effecient at feeding.

My LO randomly went from hour long feeds to 15ish mins overnight at about 6 weeks. I think they just get better at feeding and our boobs get better at squirting it out faster! She now sometimes does 5 mins, sometimes 20. The other way of making sure they're full is to burp and change them then try and put them back on, if they won't go on they must be full!

Yes don't worry it's totally normal, the feeding time gets shorter as they get older and often varies depending on which feed it is too. My LO always feeds for longer 1st feed of the day and last feed before bed but feeds for minutes the rest of the time.

Yes. They become pretty quick and efficient. I always used to worry about my supply but no need. Mother nature is clever. You should be able to tell if LO is still hungry. Or LO will just ask for the next feed sooner. they sort themselves out.
