I said 50/50 - it might not be but he does as much as he can! I have LO all day and do all night feeds as he works full time Mon-Fri but he comes in from work and will do feeds, nappy changes, baths etc and on a weekend will do the majority of nappies, half her feeds and will bath her so he does as much as he can when he is home but also works hard for us as well. He did his first night feeds last night and the first thing he said to me this morning was "I couldn't do your job!"

Maybe he appreciates me more now!

Go wake him up and ask for help... People will walk all over you if you let them. Say no more!

I've got a post at the moment titled "OH got a shock last night!" - basically he did his first set of night feeds and came to bed at 4am and said he was "done, and he's sleep deprived!" I basically had to ask him to do the night feeds cause I'm exhausted and couldn't do it again just needed one nights break! LO has had jaundice and thrush and now has colic, silent reflux and doesn't wind very easily so I'm up all night. He now appreciates how tired I am! I got a card off him but we don't have much money so I told him not to get me a present but he's gone home (we live with our parents) and so I'm spending mothers day just me and LO and will be up all night again...men!

I said he does a lot. He works a lot as he has no choice but he has two days off and then usually either finishes at 5pm or goes to work at 5pm. Sundays are hardest as he's in work ALL DAY and usually Mondays is an AFD too! But when he finishes at 5 -he'll run their bath for me and bath them whilst I get bottles, pjs and nappies ready and whilst I put Henry too bed he'll sit in and watch Mr Moon with Stephen and then read him a story. And then during the day he'll play and he'll always come to watch them in their swimming lessons and usually his hours are good enough for us to have one on one time with them, so I can take Henry to baby rhyme time whilst he stays with Stephen and vice versa.

He does sometimes need a kick up the backside but he's pretty good!

I'll get my ass kicked for this:

Personally I think the mum should really be doing the nightfeeds, if dads working and shes on maternity leave.
Nature intended mum to do the feeding and dad to go out hunting and gathering. Not the other way around! But yeah dad should do other stuff though when he's home definitely!

My OH works full time so can´t be 50/50 and I don´t expect it to be to be honest. As with the night feeds, I breast feed and don´t see why he should get up aswell to help settle or change a nappie, I just get on with it and I´m fine with it.
