19 is crazy. If it was someone else's MIL it'd be funny but it's really creeping me out. I just feel so uncomfortable with her in the same room as LO with the way she behaves! I've been convincing myself it's been in my head but REALLY 19 photos!!!

I dunno. I wouldn't tell my mom that. Could be worse I guess. I domt mind cause my mom doesn't have Alex there. I guess in the scheme of things, this is trivial in my opinion.

I'd b def cautious of leaving LO - maybe paranoia I dunno but I'd think ing she's going to steal my baby!' unless she thinks it her turn as a nan to bring up the grandchild?!?

But yes - she didn't bring up her daughter so she thinks it's her turn!!

I'm not sure...tbh I think it depends what kind of relationship you have with your MIL. I get on really well with mine and she's got photos of LO EVERYWHERE but I kind of like it

He's my mum's first grandchild too, and she'd got hundreds of photos of him - I email them regularly as she loves it and it makes her feel close to him even when she can't visit. I suppose I just like that they clearly love my LO so much...makes me happy

But, as I say, I'm very close to mine and OH's family so that probably influences how I feel about it.

yes haha! I'm also picturing what 19 photos in frames would look like in my living room. When would she find time to pick them all up and do the dusting? If she has one of those giant frames you can put about 20 photos in that is slightly less creepy...

Individual photos. Mostly 8x10s so not even small pics!

She has lots of young neices and nephews and not a single pic. The more I think about it the more I hate it

What do I say to OH?

That is quite odd, although my first reaction upon reading was aw what a sweet nana she obviously adored her grandchild, some people can be over the top but you know her better than us is there anything odd about her?
Is probably want to know why she didnt raise her own daughter, the fact no one speaks of it unsettles me, does your oh know why it is?

I can't suggest anything because I have no tact whatsoever and would probably just say it straight out. My OH knows I hate his mum and think she's satanic and a witch and the worst person I've ever met in my life lol! But I'm sure someone will have a good suggestion!

She might be a bit ott but she just sounds super proud! My mom carries a small photo album in her handbag of about 20 pics of my lo so she can show him off. Its her first grandchild and i'm her only daughter. Plus she only gets to see lo maybe twice a year. I'm so happy she's a proud nana! She adores him.
