I had 6 mcs before i finally got my miracle.

I have a chromosome defect that was causing all my mcs and i was told the chances of a sucessful pregnancy was slim and if i did carry to term there was chances of defects in the baby.
I would need a form of IVF in order to find a decent egg without the problem, would could be hard seeming i had 6 mcs...
March last year i fell pregnant naturally and i now have a very beautiful daughter that has no defects and doesnt even have my chromosome trait.

Hey just wanted to share my story with you. I have a ds (born after a picture perfect pg in 2010). Then everything went down town...had a mmc at 11w1d in april 2011 and a mc at 6w5d in august 2011. At that time all i could think was i just couldt go through with another loss but at the same time i couldnt not try again. Got pg 5 weeks after mc (no af) and even though i started bleeding heavily at 12w4d, have been on bed rest since then and have had to have a stitch to prevent ic, i am now 27w3d and everyday i hope and pray i will get to hold my rainbow baby at the end of may (when stitch is coming out). It s been a roller coaster and i havent enjoyed this pg at all (havent really allowed myself to even consider the happy ending-hopefully it will come as a wonderful surprise) but i m still thankful everyday for the life growing inside me. This might not necessarily sound like a success story to everyone (since i still havent had my happy ending) but i choose to see it that way simply because i have to believe in my miracle. I realy do hope and wish and pray you get to hold your rainbow very very soon.pm me if you ever feel like talking.xo

I have had 1 miscarriage at 9 weeks. 6 months later I got pregnant again with my daughter. Obviously I was very anxious about the same thing happening again, and when I started bleeding heavily at 6 weeks, exactly the same timescale as the first, I thought the worst, but with bed rest she held in there. Born early and quite small, but thriving now.

Keeping my fingers crossed for u!

I'm so sorry that you are going through this but I wanted to share my story with you to give you hope.

I had 3 m/c's and now have a beautiful healthy 11 month old baby boy.

First m/c I found out at 12 week baby stopped growing about 9 weeks old, 2nd and 3rd were earlier at 5 and 7 weeks preganancy just didn't take.

I went for testing to see if there were any medical issues with both me and OH but nothing showed up, sperm count was fine, thyriod, clotting disorder all the tests that they run with NHS and nothing showed up.

They suggested that when I fell pregnant again that I took 1 asprin a day. So next time I fell pregnant that's what I did, and I'm not sure if this is what helped my pregnancy but it resulted in my baby boy

Apparently there isn't enough study into taking asprin during pregnancy but with some women it does help.

It's so hard going through what you are but all I can say is no matter what you go through, keep on fighting through it and be strong for each other.

x

I had 3 miscarriages in between my 2nd and 3rd children hence the extra large age gap. Keep the faith you WILL get your very own success story soon

I've read about this on the internet - Just a regular aspirin or some special type?

Just a low dose like the ones that you can take if you are going on a long flight I can't remember the dosage but I think I was on 1 75mg tablet. Not the dispersable kind that you put into water just a tablet. I used to get them from Tesco chemist but always had a fight on my hands trying to buy them cause they said I shouldn't be taking them when pregnant but tried to explain everytime that it was recommended by consultant. In the end I found them for about £1 in Savers x

Wow, thank you all so much for sharing your stories with me. I am learning more and more that not only is everybody's story different, so is everyone's journey into parenthood. On the outside, it seems like women are having babies so easily, but I think once you get below the surface there are many, many families that go through their own unique struggles to get their little ones.

I have read about the baby aspirin recommendation, but haven't talked to a doctor about it yet. I head that vitamin e can have a similar (but less strong) effect in terms of preventing clotting, so I am taking some of that instead. I figure you can't really go wrong with vitamin either way - or so I hope!

hopestruck congrats on your pregnancy! I am so sorry for your losses

I gave birth to my rainbow baby at the end of October 2011 after losing 5 babies (4 losses- 1 was twins). PAL can be quite terrifying at times but I hope this it for you

My journal is in my siggy if you want to take a look. I was diagnosed with hetero MTHFR and prothrombin wild type. Since I was hetero for the blood clotting factors my doctor did not believe it had an impact on my pregnancies. Everything else was perfect. For my successful pregnancy I was on natural progesterone cream 2x daily until a few weeks before birth, synthetic progesteron suppositories 2x a day until about 15 weeks, baby aspirin daily, DHA, Omega fatty acids, prenatals, Juice Plus and I also did acupuncture every week until 2nd tri and then every other month after that.

I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy

Didn't have a chance to read the whole thread but yes, I just had my little girl after 2 losses.

The first baby I lost at 5 weeks, got pregnant again the next cycle and made it to 9 weeks before I lost that one. There was no reason for it, the doc just said it happens. Got pregnant the cycle after that and the doc started me on progesterone just in case and I also took baby aspirin just in case and everything turned out fine. She was born Feb 21st a healthy little girl! The pregnancy went great but I worried the whole time of course just like I'm sure you will. Just try not to stress about it, that's more harmful than anything to your little one. Sometimes miscarriages happen for no reason, just abnormalities with the baby. I have a friend who had 8 miscarriages and is now pregnant and doing great.

Good luck!
