I'm worried my LO isnt gettign enough sleep and is overtired...
he is 4.5 months old and his bedtime is between 8-9pm and he gets up at 5am... yes, 5am! After the 5am wake up, he will play for an hour and then go back to sleep around 6am and sleep until 7:30 or so. I count that as Nap #1 for the day. He goes on to take about 3-4 more naps through the day sleepign anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour and 30 min. Getting him down to nap is usually a big fiasco with crying etc but after beign awake for an hour he starts rubbing eyes, yawning, bored with toys, fussy, etc etc so I try to put him down.
All in all, he seems to be getting about 8-9 hours of sleep at night (not straight, he wakes up 2-3 times to feed) and about 4-6 hours of sleep during the day.
Is this normal?
Also, is there a way to maybe get him to sleep less durign the day and make him sleep more at night? It is so exhasuting gettign him down for a nap 5 times a day! And he seems to be in a bad mood most of the time =(
