For those waiting to hear from tax credits...

I applied and sent the application off by special delivery on the 13th March and it was received on the 14th. I phoned up on Tuesday to ask about adding my child benefit number as at the time I didn't have it and she said my application had already been put through and processed! She told me I'd be getting x amount today and x amount each Thursday weekly after that! I got my money today but still haven't received my confirmation letter so keep an eye on your bank ladies! You may get paid before you think you've been accepted!

Hey hun hope you're well! You're going to have to apply quick cause they need to receive the application before 5th April to get full back payment of 3 months. Call 03453003900 and they send you a claim form. We both work but we don't live together so I'm classed as a single claim at the moment

We applied and were told we'd get a whole £10 a month(!) but received a letter saying they have lowered the income rate and were no longer entitled to anything. We are by no means high earners!

Don't forget although they ask for last years incomes on the form once you have sent off letter you can ring up and give them estimated for this year.

The first £100 a week of maternity leave isn't counted!

Yeah Sam it's ridiculous getting and I think it's going to hit a lot of people quite hard. I've filled and received my first payment but need to phone and change about maternity as on the application it doesn't say anything! lol it's so confusing
