When Jack was in hospital with viral induced asthma and a high temperature he was given both - alternating.

yes you can and you dont even have to space them out any more but obviously its best done like this so its continuous pain relief

At hospital my LO was given both together to get his temp down as quickly as they could, but at home when I've needed both I've tended to stagger them.

Yeah we give both, LO went in hospital yesterday with a viral infection and they said to give them both with 2 hours between one another x

I did this about 3/4 weeks ago with J as he was 13 months and he was really high temp, I had the out of hours doc out to him and he said what I was doing was fine alternating 2 hourly with a wet flannel. His temp finally came down. Think I was more paranoid as my eldest son had an illness at 13 months and ended up in hospital and being resuscitated, he was very nearly gone and I thought history was repeating itself.
