Personally I wouldnt worry honey. My son went into scbu when he was born. He was there for 3 days and I was hand expressing colostrum for him. The midwives there told me to stop coming down every few hours and that they would call me when he woke for a feed. It was 5 hours one night and they were happy to let him go this long...and this was in special care!

My son was a little bigger than yours at 8lb 15oz at birth but he also dropped a lont of birth weight (9%) so if the midwives were really concerned then I'm sure they would have suggested I feed more often. I firmly believe in demand feeding. Most babies will let you know when they are hungry.

xxx

Your doing fine, try not to worry. All three of my lo have been good sleepers at 3 weeks my youngest was 7 - 8 hours a night and 6 during the day, she is now 12 weeks and sleeps from 7 pm. To 7 am. It is worrying though when you hear of other babies feeding more often, but there all different. I have always fed all three on demand
