Seek out a used one if you can. I bought a used one and my son couldn't stand it at first. I recently got it back out and added a tray and now he seems to like it a bit more. But I think they are way overpriced new.

we also use it at MILs as a booster seat at the dinning room table if we go for dinner (twice a month if that so not worth buying a high chair).
My 14 month old likes to climb in and out of it as a chair.

The only really use I had for it was an auxiliary highchair if we were at somebody's house. By the time she liked being in it, she could sit unassisted.

My LO is happy to sit in his but I don't really love it as he finds it hard to reach for toys etc in it, so I think it's a bit boring for him, but he's fine in there. I usually leave it In bedroom an sit him front of mirror while I get ready he likes watching himself. But usually in day I don't use it x

I like it. My baby is 3 1/2 months and at a stage where it's fun to interact with her and have her facing me. She slides off pillows and tries to sit up on her own so I can put the Bumbo in front of me and put her in it and we talk and sing, etc. I also think it helps with her head control rather than just laying on her back

I never got one because I heard that a lot of babies don't fit in them for very long, and deffinitely don't last to the weight that is stated.

We love ours. Our son sits with us at the dinner table & loves it! He's not quite ready for his high chair so this is a great transition. My friend gave me hers. I wouldn't buy it brand new as I don't think it's worth it for the amount of time they actually sit in it but maybe you can find it at a garage sale or on craigslist?

I have found some on craigslist
The only thing that concerns me with craigslist is you never know what type of people you are meeting :/
There are a few bad people in austin.

one of the best things I bought for DD - she started sitting in it from about 4 months once she could sit a bit with support - used to take it outside and hang washing with her sitting there. Still use it now - she's nearly 1 - and she sits in it while I have a shower - as long as I give her a couple of toys to play with she's happy. Always sit it on a mat in case she topples and have never put it anywhere but the floor. It was useful when we started weaning her too as she had her own seat and table when she was too little for the high chair. Having said that the table was generally a waste of time as she kept taking it off!
