We got a mamas and papas snug because I'd heard that babies with chunky legs don't last long in them, and my LO is a chunk! I'm very pleased with it, it seems to have much more room than the bumbo.

unless u get one under £10 i wouldnt waste ur money

freyas legs get stuck as shes a chubber and she can rock backwards and i had to stop her from falling back

Fran hardly used hers because she has chunky thighs and she didn't like how it restricted her - we had to pull the gap apart to get her in it!

If I'd known there were other alternatives I'd have gone for something different. My friend had the mamas and papas snug for her little boy and it's loads better - much more space xx

The snug and the bumbo are about the same price here. I would definitely say it's worth paying more for the snug though. They're more sturdy and less likely to topple than the bumbo and there is miles more leg room. Plus they have an insert you can remove as they get bigger too xx

reading some mums say they put their LO's in at 3 weeks or so (the Bumbo)...can you put them in at a few weeks old with the M+P snug? Harry is 9.5 weeks old and hates lying on his back, he'd much rather be up and looking at things. I was looking at a Bumbo, but i didnt know of other seats!

Nah. LO used it only a few times. She would throw herself backwards out of it at 4 months making it pretty useless!

We had one but didnt really use it much. Not because she didnt like it, or us, but it just was kinda useless! It was good when we started weaning and didnt have a highchair, but apart from that, not muhc use!

First pic she is almost 6 months
2nd pic she is almost 3 months
