What to do with outgrown clothes/outfits

Does anyone have any ideas of what to do with all of my LOs clothes that don't fit anymore?? Its mostly baby grows and little outfits, legging and tee shirts etc.

Ruby Roo is only 6 weeks old but we have a mountain of things that no longer fit her, which I can't bear to part with! I can cope with getting rid of the plain white stuff but the pretty patterned, striped and fancy things I would like to keep and do something with???

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I could do with them?

So far I have thought of making a memory blanket but I have no idea of how to go about it and I don't know how to quilt and it looks like I would need lots of other bits and bobs..
I can sew okay, but have no sewing machine, but have a glue gun and I am an avid wonder web fan!

anyone got any other ideas?

If you're planning on having more babies, I'd just keep them. I box everything that I want to keep up and store it in their closet.

If you can sew at all, you can do the patterned part of a quilt pretty easily. You basically just cut squares and sew them together. Then pick a piece of fabric for the back and there are women out there who will quilt it for you If you can't sew at all (I sure can't ), it may be possible that you can find somebody who would make the whole quilt for you?

When we're done having babies, I plan to donate everything, so I haven't really thought about it too hard. Hope you come up with something good and special though!

I put them in the dresser for the next baby. If you're done you can make a blanket out of them

I either keep for the next baby, sell so I can buy more things or freecycle.

I have had to vacuum pack in size order all the out grown clothing. (woooahhh there is a LOT of clothes!) My LO is still wearing 3-6 months so I am dreading how many flat packs I am going to have by the time she is 18 months!!!

Note to self: have another baby...preferably a girl so I get good use out of clothing.

Yes the lady makes them for you - here is the info

The memory animals are made from your baby's outgrown/ loved ones clothing or special fabric and these can be personalised with name/date of birth. Smaller animals are made from 3-4 babygros or equivalent, and the large bunny/teddies require slightly more garments. Babygros are used as a guide to show amount of fabric needed, but any garments can be sent - tops/dresses/trousers - the possibilities are endless! Baby blankets and towels have been used before with lovely results. Prices currently stand at

Standard bunny - £17 Mini bunny - £15 large bunny - £25 lion - £19 monkey - £19 dinosaur - £17 snake - £18 unicorn/horse - £20 bear - £20 Postage is £3.50 for recorded delivery. All items can be personalised with name only (£3) or name and date of birth (£5) - Any further questions on these please do not hesitate to ask. To place an order, please email me at especially_for_you@hotmail.co.uk and i can give you all of the details required. These are sold as keepsakes and are not intended for use as toys due to the delicate nature of upcycled fabrics. Not suitable for children under 14 years of age, adult supervision is required.
