My son is really wheezey & had a rattly chest his breathing is quite fast his ribs sink in when he breathes last time he was in hosp with this all they did was give him a blast of the salbutamol pump every 2 hrs i have the pump here at home should i do that or get him seen by the doc? Hes eating and drinking as normal.
I would take him in. They might want/need to do a chest xray and check for pneumonia. I hate going to the doc with my LO because the tell me what I already knew or found out from dr. Google so it just feels like a waste of time and money but better safe than sorry. I would feel terrible if I decided not to take her in and it ended up being something serious.
Call nhs direct and say you cant et to a docs. My LO spend 4 nights in hospital for severe bronchiolitis with complications last week, and symptoms were the smae, although NHs direct told me to take him to a and e xx
My lo has a rattley chest at the minute. Her breathing is normal, temp normal, feeding as usual and sleeping all night, and has been super happy today. She does have a snotty nose though.
Do you think it's worth going to the Dr?
Because he had bronchiolitis at 5 months old he was ventilated for 3 days at 5 months too. Everytime he gets a cold it goes straight to his chest and ends up with bronchiolitis again not as bad but he had a bad chest recession thats what made me worry. To ease ur mind take ur lo to docs xxx
