How much sleep are YOU getting?

I am interested to know how much sleep everyone gets/needs. I have been going to bed so early lately because I have been totally exhausted so I am averaging a 5-7 hour stint before LO stirs. Then if I am lucky and she only wakes up once, I may get another 1.5 hours or so. So about 8.5 in two blocks on a great night. I probably get about 6 in two blocks on a bad night (2 lots of 3 hours or thereabouts). My LO is 15 weeks.

LO sleeps from about 11-3, nurses for half an hour and then sleeps until 630-730 and then goes back to sleep from 9-11.. so I sleep when he sleeps, I get a really good amount of sleep for having a one month old

LO goes to bed between 7-830. I stay awake untill 11 pm with OH thought. This is usually the first feed for LO.

So I generally sleep from 11:30-1:30 (when LO begins to stir and then we do a feed).
Unfortunately due to insominia that means I stay awake from 1:30-4:30 when LO feeds again, then I fall asleep untill 7 am when she wakes up.

.... so thats 4.5 hours over a 8 hours period. And I am not a napper so no daytime sleep for me.

On a really good night, I can fall asleep between 130-430 but that is rare.

I was waking up in the middle of the night to pump until my daughter was 6.5 months. It felt so nice to stop that and finally sleep through myself!

I'm still at the 'newborn-ish' stage, but LO is a night owl, so as I am as well, I usually go to bed around/after the 3am feed, my OH does the 6am/630am feed, but I still wake up (just don't have to get up, tho) and LO sleeps until his 9:30am feed, but unfortunately, the neighbours get up at 8am and their children literally shake the house down (terrace style/rowhouse/townhouse), so they usually (growl) wake me up, but if not, I get up around 10ish, so I get about 4-5 hours a night, I suppose. However, my husband takes two nights a week, so HE does the 3am feed on a Tuesday night and a Friday, but I still can't sleep well, but at least, I can go to bed around 11 pm then.

oh, well -- he does doze alot during the day, but when it's dark out -- baby comes out to play and both myself and my husband are both knackered! Hopefully, when he gets a little older, we won't need the 3am feed --oh, well, I can hope a little!

best wishes

Well my LO's bedtime is 7pm, but he usually sleeps 7-8pm then awake for an hour then down from 9pm-1am ish. This morning was 1.30am. I went to bed at 11pm so I've had 2.5 hours so far lol. He's been really bad on sleeping the last couple nights though. Last night he was awake from 1am-5am... At which point I gave up and took him to bed with me, at which point he then slept for 3 hours... So 5 hours last night. Tonight is yet young, so we are yet to see how tonight's sleep works out!

But on average about 5-6 hours between 7pm and 7am and on a really good night 6-7 hours between 7pm and 7am.

XxX
