Do you ever let your LO nap for

an hour or two in his/her car seat?

Just curious.

Yes, but not for very long. She hasn't since she was a lot younger but I used to let her nap if she was still sleeping when I brought her in, never longer than 45mins - an hour tops though as its not good for their spine or more importantly their airways.

I have once or twice. It was always after we got out of the car and he has not slept all day and was cranky I would leave him in there for about30 minutes to nap.

Yeah a few times. I know its not recommended but i was even told by my gp to let him nap in there when he was all congested as was better than being flat.

Also we have gone through stages that the only place he would nap is in the car.

yep every day - the only place she'll settle at the moment is in her car seat with me frantically rocking it. She's just gone off now. She never naps for long. Once she's well and truly out for the count if she's looking to be asleep longer then i'll sometimes pick her up and move her to her cot/my arms.

Only if he's actually IN the car. He has silent reflux and it's really bad for his throat and oesophagus to be crunched/squashed up like that. He can't be laid flat either so all his mattresses have wedges or cushions underneath to put them at an angle to open up his airways and let gravity help his food/acid stay down.

Yep, if we've been out in the car and he's asleep when I bring him back in the house I will let him sleep until he wakes unless he's been in seat a long time.
