bad mother?!

Hmm...My daughter is not even 2weeks old yet and my mother has offered to baby sit her tonight so I can have a rest! Really want to take her up on the offer because Im still sore after my section and I am pretty tired. Would it make me a really bad mother seen as she is still so young?! Am feeling guilty for even entertaining the idea!

you not a bad mom, especially because of the surgery, you need to take a rest and its only a few hours! I always let my mom watch my baby for a little while so I can rest. In fact you'll be an even better mommy once you have some energy.

I've had my little sister watch my baby girl. To be fair, we are in the same house, but still... I got 3 hours of sleep, she got to spend time with her niece, and I was still nearby if my boobs were needed. I see no downsides.

I wouldn't think twice. I never get the opportunity to be childfree unless im at work or college really so i'd snap their hand off. Sometimes you just need that night to yourself to catch up. It dosent make you a bad mother recharging your batteries.

My grandparents looked after Harrison for about 5 hours one day when he was 2 weeks old so that I could sleep. Don't feel bad, we all need a break! And you will feel like a much better mummy after having some sleep, I did. You'll feel like a new person

not at all. I left my LO at 6 weeks for a couple hours to go see a movie.

I've actually bookmarked this for my own reference - http://www.dealiciousmom.com/7-commo...e-parents-make

See point #1, sleep, and point #2, time expectations. You wouldn't be a bad mom, you'd be a smart mom

Enjoy your respite!

Not at all I've had loads of offers and been thinking about taking an offer up from my Mum. I didn't have a section but I am shattered too right now.
