My little girl is the same as yours. She stays up ALL day now, yesterday was from 7am til 9pm, I can't get her to nap. She'll start to sleep likes yours and wake right back up. If I set her down it's all over, and she starts bawling! She goes into daycare on Monday so we'll see how they handle her! Maybe it'll be good, she won't have mommy there and might start napping normally.

As for spitting up, my little girl did this too at first, but I think we were feeding her too much. Now she will only eat 2/3 oz every hr or 2...I wish I could get her to eat more at one time, it's really frustrating! She'll sometimes eat an oz, then 30 min later want another 1, 30 min later another, it feels like I'm feeding her ALL DAY LONG!

So your baby isnt' the only one, mine's just as frustrating. I don't have another baby to compare her to as she's my first!

It could possibly be reflux, I had 2 Sons before my Daughter was born & suffered from silent reflux.....It was only then that I realised how 'easy' my 2 Sons were as babies!

Please take a look at this thread, it helped me so much, the Girls on it are great:

http://www.babyandbump.com/parenting...rt-thread.html

Things that may help are....
feeding upright (mayby in a bouncer chair)....
Prop her bed up at the head end...
Keep her on comfort milk (its heavier so stays down better)
Use Dr Browns bottles

Sounds exactly like my baby was. He had a really strong startle reflex and wanted to be held 24/7 until he was 6 1/2 months or so. I took him for walks I the sling loads. Some days it felt like all I did was help him to get to sleep day in day out. It is exhausting and I was very alone as all my friends babies seemed so much less demanding. Look up high needs babies on Dr Sears website. Mine is my first baby and any baby will seem easy after him! I took him to the doctors loads too as I couldn't understand him. My mum kept reassuring me it's his personality as one of my brothers was the same.

Obviously look into checking her milk is ok with the throwing up but maybe some of the other behaviour is just her being herself. It does sound like she has some reflux issues. Have you tried giving her less milk more often? My baby lulled me into a false sense of security in the first 3 weeks too. You will get through it x

This is called the startle reflex, this exactly what swaddles are made for. There's nothing wrong with the baby.
