Self-employed Maternity Allowance - How much £?

Just popping from 2nd tri!

Just wondering if anyone is currently claiming Maternity Allowance after being self-employed, and how much this works out at monthly after tax (or would you not pay tax on such a small amount?)

It says on HMRC website it's £128.73 a week but that's before tax.

Thanks!

You don't pay tax on your maternity allowance, although I'm not self employed I know you only have to earn a certain amount of money per week to get the full 128 per week.

If you pay class 2 NI you automatically get the full amount otherwise it's worked out by your earnings, you may get the full amount or less. When you fill in the form it tells you what to tell them so they can work it out. It's calculated by a set number of weeks earnings.
