putting baby down on hard floor-ideas?

Hello ladies,

Up until now Rowan has been playing mainly in his soft gym or in his jumperoo but I'm concerned that although he rolls from front to back he will not roll the other way. I think I need to give him more space on the floor but this is tricky as we have a small house, hard floors and a toddler! I was thinking some soft playmat that I could pop down when Grace is occupied elsewhere and scoop up when they're together? Anyone have any ideas to share?

I used a big quilt (padded bed spread) as a massive play mat.

We used to use one as well, but transitioned to the rubber mat as it had more grip for standing and crawling.

Very good point!! I was gonna get some of those rubber alphabet mats that slit together but i heard they contain chemicals that can be harmful

I would avoid the alphabet mats, I had one and luka pulled it apart constantly. All I ever did was put it back together! So annoying! Lol!
