I think it's sick.
Please mind your tone and attitude. I have posted for support and advice not to be spoken to in this rude, condescending manner. I would advise you to READ carefully before you comment in such a manner. Firstly my lo is 5 months, secondly I did not want to do cio my oh does, thirdly I know EXACTLY what it means when I "signed up" to have a baby as you so eloquently phrased, and lastly I am struggling on lo waking every 45 mins which I'm pretty sure isn't the norm for this age in terms of waking for a reason such as hunger and have posted for support and advice. Not your attitude.

Wow. Meg is obviously going through a hard time of it with sleep, we've all been there (well, most of us) and it's actually her OH wants to do CIO, not her. Try actually reading the OP's message first before replying so harshly next time. Great way to respond to someone that says she feels depressed from lack of sleep

Thank you so much to you ladies who have given me advice and support. Lo would only fall asleep for tens mins at a time last night from 9pm-4am, at 4am oh and I had row as he insisted we leave lo to cio so I made him sleep in the living room and bought lo in bed with me she slept for 2 hours poor thing. I sometimes doubt I'm a good mum my baby must be so sleep deprived

Am going to try and bring lo in bed earlier tonight. X

DO NOT doubt you are a good mum, you sound like an excellent mum hun from what I've read! You are just going through a bumpy patch and it's only natural you will feel depressed. Please don't doubt your ability.

I agree with everyone else's reply to you nickyXjayno and don't feel there is much more to say other than requesting you use the forum for it's purpose, well after you have actually read the subject that is! Your user-name is becoming a little familiar our end, not always a good thing!

Can those who have offered support to the OP please move on now and ignore x

Not really and our road is reasonably busy plus there are three of us in the room, but we move in 2 weeks so lo will be almost 6 months so am going to try her in her own room for a few days to see if ts us that's disturbing her, will also get some blackout curtains worth a try!

Do you ladies think some babies are just very light sleepers? My mum said I was EXACTLY like my lo and used to wake all the time and fought sleep. She co slept with me til I was 2. X

My LO is still in with us. Since the blind went he is not sleeping so lightly. Its a pain crawling about in the dark but you get used to it lol. As the sleep regressions pass LO will start to settle down though. I thought it was never going to end but it got better

I think some babies maybe do sleep ligher than others just like adults.

Right definitely going to buy some blackout curtains, it might help to settle her when she wakes up in the night. X
