LO kicks crib mattress every night?

Do any of your LO's kick their bed when they're going to sleep or even in their sleep?

DS kicks his crib mattress every time we put him down for naps or bedtime and does it periodically during the night. At first I thought it was gas, but he's been doing this for last couple weeks every time he's put down for sleep and doesn't act like he's uncomfortable, but more like he's playing...maybe just a another phase? Just didn't know if I was alone...

Mine does this too, he lifts up his legs and slams them back down onto it!

My LO still does this as he is nodding off, and he will be 2 at the end of the month. He also makes a 'mmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmm' noise whilst sucking his thumb, how he actually manages to go to sleep with all the noise he is making I don't know!

Mine started doing this when he was around 4 months. I think it's just a new movement they learn and are practicing (even in their sleep). He still does it occasionally.

If he's not waking himself up doing it, I wouldn't worry.

Olivia used to do it and wake herself up so I used to tuck the bottom of her sleeping bag under the bottom of the mattress

Yes, thankfully he's not been waking himself up doing it. The other night he was bicycle kicking as hard as he could...we could hear the 'thuds' without the baby monitor and sounded like a drum

Glad to know he's not the only one doing this...

:waves: us too, it's how he gets himself to sleep, he often does it in the night and only wakes if he's got himself the wrong way around in his cot and kicks the bars.

The times Thomas was in his crib or cot he would lift his legs and slam them down onto the mattress when we co-sleep he doesn't do it.
