Advice please....

So, I just had my son 6 days ago. So far everything seems surreal, life seems a little disjointed! I love being with him, and right now we are staying with family while I heal up from my section. I would like to know if it is normal to feel this way? Also, I am still in quite a bit of pain, and I am still bleeding some, is this normal?? Thanks!

I can't help about the c-section but the surreal feeling I can definitely relate to. I spent the first couple of weeks like that both times! I think it's just a massive change to your life and it's a lot to take in. That feeling does fade though. Oh and congratulations!

Yep completely normal to feel that its all surreal. I went through every emotion going in the beginning.

With regards to c-section, I found the first week very difficult and painful. I'd say I felt relatively normal about 4 weeks onwards. Now almost 6 months on all I feel is the odd itch around my scar.

again hun, i cant give any advice in regards to the c-section except a big hug
+ the surreal feeling is 100% normal!! It lasted a week for me where i kind of felt like an imposter and not like a real mother. It does pass and atm i know it may feel like ur just acting a role but one day you'll wake up, look at little one and just think, "im your mummy" and it will be so overwhelming
the transition to being a mum is so sudden it takes us a while to adjust, unless ur superhuman
xxx

Thank you ladies, for the advice. I keep marveling over how he came out of me. Now I think I have a blocked duct. It feels pretty bad.
