feeling like am not coping, could i have PND??

i feel that am struggeling at the min, TBH i have felt like this for a few months and when i say anything to my mum or DH they say am fine and it will be due to lack of sleep.

My LO is 9 months and still wont sleep through the night, she wakes at least once. she goes down ay 8ish wakes at 6, and at least once inbetween for an hour or so. I have gone back to work n do 3 days on shifts.

i just down a lot and feel that am not coping, the house never seems tidy, feel i never have any time for myself.

My friend was diagnosed with PND at around 9 mths - when she went back to work as well. I would go to the doctors just to see - The lack of sleep doesn;t help - I always feel like I'm not coping if I've not had much sleep and better when I've had more sleep. Can you go to bed earlier if LO is going down at 8 - what time do you go at the minute?

How do you feel throughout the day? like you're just getting through it as opposed to enjoying most of it? Sleep deprivation is a hideous thing and is something I've been dealing with since lo was 9 weeks. I think sleep deprivation can make you feel terrible and can blur your real feelings, and can make you feel depressed which could lead to actual pnd. Have you spoken to a health professional about this? (hugs) xx

My daughter is 8 months and I go back to work in 1 month - if I am honest with myself I have been fed up for a long time. Every day is like groundhog day and is so monotomous I am ready to return to the adult world but like your baby she still wakes once for a feed in night - wheich i consider to be quite alright as most of my friends babys wake more often! I have not enjoyed my maternity leave as much as I had hoped but love my baby girl to bits. I think I have PND but have just managed it. I wish you all the best and hope you manage to get everything sorted xx

I kind of feel the same too, i feel like everyday is a struggle and im always snapping at LO or DH - not on purpose but i feel like i cant cope anymore - sometimes i sit and cry due to loneliness and lack of sleep.

I think sleep deprivation plays a part too as i haven't had a good night's sleep since LO was born and even now she sometimes wakes up due to her teething. My HA said that she is always happy to lend me an ear if i got any problems, but its also trusting someone too *hugs* x

My LO is the same age (9-10 months old) and I could have written the same replies as others in this post. She still wakes once a night, and I have been living on little sleep since she was born. Expecially as she is waking up really early at the moment.

My lo is 14 weeks and reading the posts is like somone is in my brain. I think it's alot to do with lack of sleep. But I'm really not enjoying this motherhood lark as much as I thought I would. Thank goodness were not alone and have this site x
