8 months old babies - how is yours?

I was just wondering how other 8 month old doing.

Mine started sobbing every evening and sometimes through the day. Also he is crying and sobbing every night before falling asleep lately.
Is this a 8 month thing or my boys thing?

I read another thread on here about someone else's lo doing the same at 8 months, can't remember what the thread was called, sorry.
My lo has started really sobbing through the night, the last couple of nights, really breaking her heart. It's horrible to hear. She is ok through the day the now, just gets frustrated that she can't get to something and cries at that.
I now know there is an 8 month sleep regression and wonder week 37 that can upset them at this time. Maybe it could be that?

x

My LO is the same age as yours - at the moment she is fine at night, she wakes up but doesn't cry just whimpers for her dummy.

Yes, our baby has been going through some sort of personality change since she turned 8 months. :/ She's fussier and more tempermental in the day than she's ever been, and her night sleeps have become awful. She used to be such a sweet little bubba but now it's like I've got a toddler on my hands! She's learning to do a lot of things now, crawling and sitting up by herself. Maybe it is some sort of developmental thing (hope so anyway!)

Mine's not been too bad lately, I struggle to get her to sleep initially at night but once she's down its not too bad. She has started waking in the night for a feed and crying afterwards where she used to just roll over and go back to sleep but no problems at night otherwise.

During the day she's still a bit grumpy (always has been a grumpy baby lol) but she's better than she was. She's also just started commando crawling and proper grumbles and cries (and sometimes farts ) with the effort, till she gets where she wants to be, then she's happy again!

Mine's the same but I'm attributing it to a persistent cold (6 weeks now!??) and teething. But yeah, there's a wonder week and growth spurt due as well.
