Time in conceiving second compared to first!

Hi all,
LO is almost 8 months old and as we'd like around a 2 year age gap between no.1 and no.2, my husband and I are planning to start TTC again in 3 or 4 months (it took us 4 months last time). But I was just wondering what the time difference was in other people in TTC no.1 and no.2? And did you TTC in the same way with both pregnancies, e.g. charting, opks, ntnp, etc? (And was it with the same partner as I guess this can make a difference!)
Thanks in advance!!! xxx

Hiya,

I fell pregnant with my dd1 on our first month after I came off the pill. I didn't use opk's or anything, we just dtd every other day to cover all bases as I had no idea what my cycles would be after 11 years on the pill.

Then I fell pregnant again on our first month trying with dd2. Again we just dtd every other day as my cycles weren't regular.

Both pregnancies were with my husband. We didn't think we'd be do fertile. We wanted a 2 year age gap too but ended up with a 19 month gap instead because it happened first try!

X

Took a year with PCOS and two mc with my first, and a forgotten pull somewhere with my second.

Myself and OH have fertility issues and it took 6 years to conceive our first. We started trying again when my son was 6 months old and conceived on the 2nd cycle but had an early MC, finally conceived again 8 months after that We were hoping for a 2 year-ish gap, so although ttc has always been an emotionally difficult process for us, i guess it all worked out in the end.

Thanks all...
MummytoSummer - wow, lucky you getting pregnant so quick both times!!!! Although I'm sure your husband wouldn't agree!!! haha...
Parkep and AtomicPink, that's crazy - both of you took a long time with no.1 and then well, no time at all - literally! with no.2!!! love it! Hope it happens faster for me this time - not that it took very long last time really...
It took us 4 months with no.1, so I figure if we start trying the same time of year again, if it takes the same time we'll have a 2 year gap, lol... And 4 or 5 months either way is fine too...
