Making friends on BNB - Page 2

I made friends with some girls who were pregnant & due around the same time as me, a few people from teen pregnancy with babies who weren't born anywhere near my LO... and lots of people who live in Canada, the site is kinda UK-dominated, so we've stuck together and have a HUGE open chat group.

Best way to meet people is to respond to threads, join a group.

I have a few girls here I PM with/email as we're close. I've only met one member off here IRL though (KMAC where are you? lol) because nobody lives near me.

I've got a great bnb friend! We've met in person, although we live in different states, and text a zillion times a day. But it's about being in the right forum at the right time, realizing you either see eye to eye on a lot, or share a similar sense of humor, or whatever your particular case may be. But then it's about extending that olive branch and seeing what happens. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Don't beat yourself up if that's the case. You'll find it with someone else

I know exactly how you feel. I moved away from my friends and family and haven't really adapted well, so I don't have any friends really. I think I'm a bit too socially awkward to make new ones =/

2 of my closest friends also are having/have had babies yet we still don't see much of each other.

I've joined a couple of groups on here before but usually find that no one from the groups are on line at the same time as me.

I've been on here for about 1.5 years. I think some girls on B&B actually dont like me. I get ignored sometimes. Like "why is she posting on here?" Hahaha oh well I'm not on here very much and have real friends. So dont worry about having cyber friends when real freinds are much more important! Its not like this is high school where you need to join a clique!

I think its lovely when people do make friends on here but to be honest im far to paranoid. Its very easy to make "friends" with someone online, only for them to not be who you thought.

Ive heard too many bad stories about it to make me actually make proper friends with people on here. Shame really, because probably 99% of people on here are totally genuine but im too paranoid to take the risk.

(Just read that back, and im not having a bash at any friendships on here by the way...just saying in general)

I have a group of girls that I'm friends with. We were all pregnant around the same time and we have a group on Facebook and stay in contact pretty much daily! I also know a few girls from the area and even one around the corner from me!

It's about trying to find the right people to mesh with

Be outgoing and confident and don't feel bad if someone doesn't want to be friends. I'm sure there are loads of women out there in the same situation who would love to talk
