Scared to poop! TMI

I'm now 3 weeks PP and just started having this problem I think last week. My bm's are HUGE now and I feel like I'm going through labor again. I do my kegals in hopes that it would tighten everything up down there and make them normal non painful sizes again. I don't want my body to get dependent on stool softners and just got back from my Dr. and forgot to ask her about this. Anyone have any advice or atleast can tell me that I will be back to normal soon enough?

Are you drinking lots of water? I found after my emcsec that plenty of water= good bm t hat aren't painful. Normally I really struggle with that side of things so I can only assume it was down to all the water I was drinking whilst in hospital as I was so hot.

It does get better! I had this and drinking plenty and fruit and veg do help, it took quite a few weeks for them to go back to a more 'normal' size but it did happen in the end. Just another pp joy to deal with unfortunately!

I was the same. I was terrified too
It stung like a bitch for ages down there, thanks to a lovely huge graze (and stitches of course!) and when the pain calmed down, I was constipated. It was horrible. I dont think I went for like 2 weeks :/
I took lactulose for a couple of days and that seemed to help alot. Although I kept farting and it was gross (sorry tmi!) After a couple of days I was back to normal

Lactulose was my friend in the early days It's not a laxitive but it makes your poos softer and it's safe for BF'ing. Avoid anything with senna in it though as that can pass through your milk.

Have to say, ive been the same... i was on iron tablets after my emergency c-section, and it was sooo painful... i bled quite a bit too... but i put this down to how hard i was having to push for a BM... But... its been over 4 months since my c-section, and my BM are much softer... yet i still bleed quite a bit almost everytime i poop... (tmi... sooo sorry)
Its been worrying me for a little while.. and OH has told me i need to get to the docs... but i dont like the thought of having someone having to "check" that area... if you know what i mean... and am really embarrassed about talking to someone face to face (that isnt my partner) about it.... Should i be worried... or any idea what could be causing the bleeding? Even though my poops are pretty soft now, it still stings like mad everytime i go and is extremely painful....

Advice to OP, lots of water and fruit juices helped soften my BM alot...
Hope you feel better soon. xx
