Side effects of 12 month immunisations?

Dd had her 12 month boosters and MMR on Tuesday afternoon - since then she has been grumpy and wanted to sleep lots.

Anyone else's LO had theirs and did they have similar reactions?

Don't worry, this is a normal reaction for any of the immunisations. It usually lasts 24-48 hours so hopefully she will pick up soon. Just keep an eye on her temperature.

My LO had similar reaction to most of her shots... she slept more and a bit "needier" than usual and tad sensative the next day. But after that, back to normal... I can only assume it will be about the same at her 12mos shots. She just had her 6mos.

My daughter had hers last week and was grump and very sleepy (slept 14 hours though the night!) she was a tad warm but calpol sorted her out. Lots of cuddles needed

The MMR contains a live virus unlike the other vaccines of earlier months so can cause more symptoms like a temperature spike. It shows that LO's immune system has been activated so that is a good thing.
