I predict its a calm before the storm and she is gearing up for a massive growth spurt. Lo's tend to not drink as much before a growth spurt and then all of a sudden want more and more.
Also agree with feeding where there's no distractions. We had do this from about 8 week old. There was no way he would drink his milk if there was better things to see and look at

thanks guys - I do feed her in a room by myself witho0ut the tv on so it cant be due to noise etc...we were at a friends yesterday and she just watched the kids while drinking ok but just didnt want as much as she usually does...maybe its a growth spurt heading our way or teething pains

she ahs silent reflux but is settled with it...weighed her today and shes 12lb 10oz and same percentile so ok - hv said to weigh her every week and if she keeps reducing the amount she takes to try her with baby rice at 4 months and see what she thinks

Thing is, solids are only going to fill her up more. Which means she's only going to take less milk, so get less calories!

Although I've heard some mums say their baby started drinking a bit better after starting solids, so it's up to you whether to try it.

Weighing every week really isn't recommended.. Weight can fluctuate a bit, so you'd panick for nothing if she's not gained as much as the week before.

Sophie has phases where she will barely eat and nurse and then all of the sudden she'll eat like she's never been fed before, so I'd imagine she doesn't always gain weight steadily.

shes actually gone back up to 7-8 oz each feed except last bottle of the day when shes still only having 4oz - so it should balance out - yey!

I wasnt partcularly thinking about solids tbh just wondering whether this was something all babies do

Yay! So happy to hear that !

There's going to be more times she'll probably eat less. They do when they're a bit poorly or when they're teething and such!

Hope she keeps it up for now!
