Quality for us. Daisy always has a pair of clarks shoes and a pair of clarks trainers at any one time. Since she's been 2 she has a pair of converse and a couple of pairs of party shoes that she occasionally wears but 99% of the time it is the Clarks shoes. We have her feet measured every 8 weeks or so.

see im the opposit, i think shoes look stupid on babies who are still babes in arms.

I would get properly fitted shoes once they are walking, but before that the cheaper ones will do. Childrens feet are growing so fast and the bones are still sorf I think, and I think poorly fitted shoes for walking can cause damage.

Question. Could you not get measured at clarks then buy some adidas etc trainers. Or do the widths differer significantly enough to cause issues???

The width would cause issues if it's too narrow. I think cheaper shoes are all made to an f fitting.

shoes like adidas, nike, next etc are not made with different widths so the shoes are never suitably fitted to the childs feet, so are not as supportive.

LO will always have properly fitted shoes once he can walk. Clarks do have outlet stores. They arnt cheap but cheaper. I will get a couple of pairs of cheaper shoes for occasional wear e.g party's.

I do quality over quantity simply cos ill fitting shoes can damage your feet, i have crap feet from years of wearing cheap shoes. Joel is a G width anyway so I try to avoid anything that hasn't got a letter in its size.

I have 2 boys and they have clarks shoes and in the summer I will get a couple of cheaper canvas ones to go with outfits in addition to their clarks ones. They both have wide feet and a high instep so I find it hard to get a good fit on nonclarks ones.
