Yep, baby tv is a godsend sometimes if I need to nip to the loo or fold washing

I turn on veggietales for him. He loves the bright colors and all the songs going. He usually falls asleep after 15 min. though.

Yes, although haven't had to use it as I've had my mum staying to help for a couple of weeks, other than that she has a couple of 15minute stints during the day while I do the washing up/hang out the clothes/take out the bins etc.

She likes cbeebies and talks to the tv. If I have it on at any other point in the day she will crane her neck 180degrees to see it...

He's 7 months and not iterested in the tv. He does stare at it occasionally but he doesn't actively watch it. Weird I thought he would love it!

Aliyah watches quite a bit of tv a day and im not ashamed to say it. She has actually picked up all her words from her favourite tv show (Baby Jake). Sounds bad but me and OH sit down with her for 2 hours a day teaching her words but she just doesn't seem to pick them up from us

Sophia glances at the tv now and again but shes only two months old.

Shoot me now, but I never understand all of these 'oh yes my child very occassionally, seldom, hardly ever watches tv, but if we do its only for 14 minutes and 6 seconds at most as we woudnt want him or her to be addicted or suffer a condition as a result'. What??? Listen, we have baby einstein or babytv on in the background when we are home and doing things, occassionally he watches it and some times displays no interest at all. There is nothing wrong with it. Yes Ive seen some studies but some are a long shot association and others are an absolute extreme. I watched plenty tv as a child in between long walks, healthy meals and plenty of healthy interaction with others. And if its that detrimental then I'm not sure how I ended up with a masters in Education. Relax!

Bit cheeky sounding but its just my.....humble opinion. x

I let lo watch cbeebies... It is on in background most days. Most of time he does not watch but there are certain things he loves and will stop what he is doing to watch...

If DS gets up earlier than normal during the week, I'll lay him on his play mat or in his jumperoo and turn the DisneyJr channel on, so I can finish getting ready for work...and Quirk I now have the Chugginton song stuck in my head! We tend to have the tv on a lot, but he generally doesn't watch it, plays happily on his playmat, jumperoo or with us and his toys. We do so many other activities that I don't feel a little bit of tv will harm him here and there.

We don't let LO look at it yet.. He has been mesmerized by it since he was a newborn when I figured it couldn't be good for his eyes so we are in the habit of facing him away from it or turning it off. But when he's a little older we'll allow him a few shows a day..

My friend's SIL has her son on a no-tv policy and she freaked out one day at my friend's house when they couldn't find the remote to turn the tv off when her son was in the room.. That seems a bit extreme to me.
