I think it's a little weird/gross. I wouldn't have sex with my LO in the same bed as us, she co-sleeps too! It just seems wrong!

It's unsettling because I've seen so many child sexual abuse cases. Honestly? If she is this open about it, someone might end up calling social services.
You know I kinda thought the same - its just a bit off and well it def sounds weird and if it makes us think like this why not the girl in particular?

When I mentioned it to Mum she said the same about SS. I don't
Want to open a can of worms for my friend and her new baby if there is genuinely no cause. I don't think he'd ever hurt his baby. I just know I can't look at him ever the same again.

Would you girls call SS? What would you say??

In most cases, SS has a phone number you can call and voice your concerns anonymously. I would just call and ask what they thought. The fact that the baby is in the bed and not in a cot or basket is what is unsettling.

Personally it seems weird to me...you'd think he would feel weird about it! But we have dtd with lo asleep in her bassinet next to us, and maybe some people would feel that was weird too. I don't necessarily think there is anything wrong with it, it's just weird to me. As for SS, I don't know about how things work where you live, but where I live in california they would not take that report (I'm a therapist and deal with SS all the time) THe parent would have to do something to harm a child. THey would take the report if the child was old enough to see what was happening, but not a 4 week old.

I asked my DH and he said that was really weird and he wouldn't even think of doing it. He called it perverse.

I think I may ask to pop round for coffee tomorrow and scratch the surface about this a little more. One part of me is completely weirded out, another is concerned for the little baby-id never live with myself if anything happened to her and I didn't do something to prevent it. Then again I don't want her to
Think I'm accusing her OH of being a pervert??

Oh God! What a mess!!!

I would NOT call ss for that.

It might be a but odd but a baby that small will probably be asleep and even if not it can't see/understand anything.

We always dtd while our son is in his crib on my side of the bed, the crib is less than the width of a bed away so the same distance probably.

I agree he could just do it in the shower, but he's not hurting his baby as long as he doesn't ignore it and let it roll off the bed!
