This means he sleeps for between 8.5 to 9.5 hours straight which i thought was really good (he is 8 months old nearly 9 months) but I've been told he shouldn't be waking for that feed he shouldn't need it and I should just offer water if he wakes
The early mornings seems to bother people too not sure why when it's me that has to get up lol I get comments of he should be sleeping till at least 7am we have tried putting him to bed a little later but he still wakes at 3/4 and gets up at 5/6 but would wake up grumpy so put it back to 6:30 as he wakes happy then
In my head I know what I'm doing isn't wrong or bad for my child but certain peoples comments are pulling my heart strings and making me feel like I should be doing something different
Please can someone put my mind to rest |
my 9 month old daughter has virtually the same sleeping/feeding pattern except when she wakes at 4am for a feed she goes back down til 8 or even 9 am! when they r ready themselves and are taking more solids in the day then they will drop the 4am feed, i love it, nice bit of quiet time between me n lil miss in the half light. don't let peoples comments upset u, a baby will change thier eating and sleeping patterns many times til they settle into a more permanent one as they get older.
all babies r so different my eldest slept from 8pm til 10am (yep 14 hours) from 2 weeks old!! people told me to wake her for a feed. . . i won't type my response - it was strongly worded lol, my 2nd child however, didn't sleep through the night til he was almost 3! he was having a night feed til he was 12/13months old most nights and would not go down til 9pm. even now aged 5 he wakes at 5/6am. some kids r early risers.
hope these examples help to show u r doing absolutely nothing wrong
