LO 10 days old - suddenly more fussy, crying, eating less at one time - whats wrong?

Hi,

Our LO is now 10 days old, and for the past 2 days she has been a lot more fussy. She cries more throughout the day (but not enough in one go to be colic I dont think). When we first bought her home she would cry for a feed, feed (about 60ml) and then sleep for 2 or 3 hours. Now she is 'grizzly' unless we are holding her, seems to want to feed every hour but only has around 10/20ml, is quite alert after her small feed (not as sleepy).
When she IS asleep, she oftn cries out a little bit, and stirs as if she is uncomfortable???

We wonder if it is wind, so are winding her quite a lot. She does bring a little up but not much. Also, she has been bringing up more milk when she does feed (more than posseting, more like sick).

Has anyone had similar, or know what we can do to comfort her?

(she is bottle-fed)

She's probably just becoming more alert.. In the beginning they are just adjusting to their would outside but eventually they do more than eat and fall back asleep again

Very normal, she is just out of the newborn honeymoon sleepy phase! It gets better around 8- 10 weeks when the personality emerges and laughs and smiles come in between the crying

My little guy been doing exactly the same...and he 12days. He was really contempt but the past 2days he been wanting fed all the time but only eats 1 or 2oz. Alsk seems a lot more grizzly.
I asked mw and she said they have a big growth spurt around now as they get used to the world. So just been givin lots more cuddles and feeding him in short burst with lots of winding (as full of gas and being sick more).
Hopefully it just a phase and will become more settled on a few weeks. xx

that sounds just like her. The MW is coming tomorrow so we will get her opinion too. I thought we may be getting off a bit too lightly in the first few days back home! She was sleeping for 5 hours at a time, and rarely cried - oh well - reality kicks in!!!
