I religiously slathered my tummy in bio-oil every night and didn't get a single stetchmark there but the places I neglected (thighs, hips, boobs) did get them, so in my experience, it actually did work. X

I slathered on cream twice a day (from about 18 weeks I guesS) and got no stretchmarks at all, yay! My sister, who is built almost exactly like me, wasn't as "religious" in applying cream and did get some. It won't hurt to apply cream so go for it!!

I always say mine look like tiger stripes as well lol.

I used bio oil and coco butter and still got them on my tummy and very tops of legs. I think if your going to get them you will no matter what.

I only used regular lotion (suave and Gold bond Ultimate) once or twice a day and didn't get any stretch marks on my belly, but got a lot on my boobs! The ones on my boobs didn't get bad though until my milk came in after she was born and they grew!

I used bio oil twice a day everyday for whole preg...had no stretch marks until o hit 38 weeks and the baby dropped... The change in my bump caused en mase of stretch marks to appear literally over night...i was horrified.

I didn't have any stretch marks at 34 weeks either. But by the time I'd gone 12 days overdue I had got a nice number of them across my belly, despite using the creams. They have faded over time though and I am just wearing them with pride as my 'mummy badge'! Hopefully you will be lucky and not get any - I was really slim before I had Eleanor so I reckon I just had a lot of stretching to do and my poor skin just couldn't cope in the end.

I used derma mum every night from 20 weeks and got no stretch marks!!

I like to think the cream helped me a lot as during puberty I got loads on my thighs and bum! So it wasn't like I've never had them! Xx

I call them tiger stripes too, my niece and nephew are now scared of tigers because I said one attacked me bad auntie

I never used anything, but I didn't get anything until after my due date (she was 5 days late) and after she was born. Think it's down to genetics too
