I often feel a bit, well, judged when I'm calling her over in public as people naturally assume I'm her mum and her name was my choice!!
The name he originally suggested was Xavier. I don't mind it, but I can't quite picture it for my baby. Also I just hear 'Dr Xavier' in my head (from X men). He also likes Nixon, which again I don't dislike, just not sure if I like it enough!
We haven't discussed girls names yet. It's going to be a long road!!
You sound like someone after my own heart when it comes to names. I was kinda like your hubby in that I wanted unique names for my kids, but ultimately I decided on names that would fit in with my family and not be misspelled/mispronounced by everyone else.

Xavier is a cool name, but if all you can think of is X-men, I'd suggest coming up with some names that start with X that don't have such associations (if that is the draw to that name). For example, Xander is another name that can stand alone, or be a nn for Alexander, a really traditional name.

Nixon just makes me think of the president (I'm in USA), sorry.

I just think there is a reason why popular names are popular, because they're good names!! I don't want a 'try hard' name, just something which is nice. I'm quite liking Elliott all of a sudden but I'm sure that will be far to main stream for OH. I'm currently having a really really emotional day, he's said something which has really upset me and hit a nerve so we're (I'm) not talking right now! I'm sure it will blow over as these things do but I've been crying all bloody day thanks to my hormones!! And I agree I think most people will associate Nixon with the president, especially my parents generation! X

How are you doing? Has there been any progress with the name dilemma?
