Lucy is lovely on it's own but I would go with Lucille and shorten it, then when your LO is older she has a choice of what to go by

I think Lucy is a lovely name in it's own right, but to give your daughter more options in later life, and to truly honour your GMA I would call her Lucille and Lucy for short

I much prefer Lucy, over Lucille... And i think Lucy as the full name is perfect & still honors grandma!

I was recently talking with my mom who informed me that her middle name, which is Lucille, is after her aunt who is also her godmother... but the Italian pronouncation is Lucia... which is gorgeous (in my opinion!)........ So that got me thinking about using Lucia as a middle name, in honor of my mom (even tho her mn is technically Lucille).

Lucia, nn Lucy?? Maybe this alternative could work for you too!

I really dislike nicknames as full names but I think Lucy is a total stand-on-its-own name! 100%. And I do find Lucille a bit old-sounding but at the same time, if you call her Lucy and use Lucille, it will catch on easily I'm sure... I prefer Lucy but I think Lucille would be great too.

I think Lucy is perfectly fine - it's a lovely name. Just choose which name you prefer
