We are currently looking at girls names. Already have a boys name picked out.
My mum and I both don't have middle names. Just the first name and Surname.
I am thinking of continuing this tradition if we have a little girl... and have been surprised that a a lot of my friends think that this is strange. (If we have a boy he will have the same middle name as OH).
I like that I have a middle name, and will give my children middle names too in case they decide to use that name instead of their first name. But I'm also all about tradition, so if not using a middle name is a tradition in your family I think that's awesome.
I don't think they are important as such but think it is is nice especially if there is a meaning to it.
My middle name is Rose & i am named after my two sisters who sadly passed away. My daughters middle name will also be Rose.
I think if there is no meaning to the middle name then don't have one.
