My DH and I both love the name Olivia, but his last name is very common where we live so we wanted something a little less common for our daughters first name, and let me tell you, your perception is not wrong that Olivia is everywhere. It is on the top 10 in popularity in 5 or 6 different countries. Not just English speaking countries either. (It is huge in Sweden and I think Spain too.) We are now opting for Olivia as a middle name instead.

I don't know any Olivia's, but what about a less popular middle name if it's the combination that's too common for you?

Olvia Shea
Olivia Skye
Olivia Reese
Olivia Dawn

or have you thought about spelling alterations like Alivia?
I know some people aren't too keen on changing the spelling of popular names though, so you might not be into that.

Ya the combo is very popular...i was really surprised by tht.

Maybe a diff. Middle name would help me to still use part of the name i adore:-)
Thx. And i think Olivia Skye/Reese/Dawn are adorable!!! Ill run them by hubby
Thanks:-):-)
