I see your struggle!

Minnie sounds like mini so you're up against a lot here:
Minnie Katie (or variant) = mini Katie = mini me

!!

Not so good, in my opinion... But whatever family name you pair with Minnie, it'll sound like mini <whomever>. I don't think many people use their first + middle names but if this bothers you, I think your options are to:

(1) pick a non-family name as a middle name;
(2) use Minnie as a middle name to get 'round the issue altogether;
(3) go with Lucy. (I much prefer it to Minnie...just can't get Minnie Mouse out of my head when I hear it, and it's just too diminutive for me.)

Would you consider Millie?

Sorry to point all this out but how names sound is important, I think, and better to identify potential problems sooner rather than later I say! I'm just one person in a forum, it's your daughter and she'll bring to life whatever name you give her!

Minnie is my nana's name and I love it.

Not a common name at all and it's only recently that someone at work mentioned that her granddaughter who is 7 has a friend named Minnie too.

Sorry can't help with a middle name
