Natalie...too common? Yes or No?

I love the name Natalie-always have. But i am not a fan of naming my children something that is common. My name is Stephanie and growing up in every class with at least 3 other stephanies, is not what i want for my child! I had to be known as Stephanie N. Not just steph, or stephanie, but stephanie N...or "that Stephanie" or the stephanie with "brown hair" etc....so what do you think? Do you think Natalie is very common? Please base your answer on how many you have personally met, or know-don't look up the stats on it....if it helps, im the USA, but if you're not, please vote anways

Not too common! And a lovely name!

I've known two Natalies in my life. Natalie No. 1 was a recent college graduate when I worked with her in 2000 (so ~22 years old). She was from Missouri. Just a doll so I have positive associations with the name. Natalie No. 2 is someone I work with now. She is French and also in her early 20s.

It's a 'clear' name (no mistaking when stated, which is one of my criteria) and it's a name that travels well (also important to me).

Lovely name.

I know a few Natalie's but not too many for it to be considered common. Would you consider a variation on the name such as Natalia?x

I know a few Natalies and Natalias but its a lovely name. Dont let popularity put you off. We all know someone called Matthew but my son has always been the only Matthew in his class and year! (there are 100 kids in his school year!)

A beautiful name! I have not met a Natalie yet. You seem to have set your heart on the name a long time ago so go for it.
