not putting name on fb?

Anyone else not wanting to put the new lo name in fb after he/she is born? My reason is that someone in my friends list took a liking to my sons name and decided to call her son the same. As weird as it sounds she us due 6 Weeks after me and I can't help but worry she will do the same again. Am I over reacting?

I feel the same! Happened with my son! I just feel like IDC if someone takes it, I will take it as a compliment, and it will be obvious as my baby is older and we announced the name first! We arent announcing this babys name until after birth (partially because we cant decide and we arent finding out gender) but I am worried that one of the many pregnant people on my fb will end up with the name we want!!

The only people I told our names to are my sister,db and mother. I have several people on fb who I know copied the name from someone else and since the girl name we have picked out I've never even heard of around here, I don't want someone taking it. It does sound big headed but ya.

I don't think people sound big headed when they say about people copying there lo a name. Especially when you spend so long going through names.

I'm not telling my names because I don't want peoples opinions and I don't want them using them.

My sister just found out of she's pregnant and if she ends up taking one of my names, she'll never hear the end of it.

I didn't really have a problem as I was the ONLY pregnant teenager, which was.. awkward. But one of my mums friends was pregnant at the time and called her daughter Sophie.. coincidence? I think not!
